Her experience in children’s programming as well as a passion for truth led Sonja to tackle the world of children’s literature in 2008 writing the first of her Deb & Seby book series, Deb & Seby’s Real Deal on Global Warming, which ranked #2 on Amazon’s “Hot New Releases”. She is currently working on it’s patriotic sequel entitled, Deb & Seby’s Real Deal on Why America Rocks, as well a fun yet serious and personal book of excerpts defining the negative influence pop culture and the feminist movement has on young women titled, Things I’d Tell My Daughters If They Didn’t Know Every Doggone Thing!
These days Sonja speaks regularly at major rallies, political clubs, events, and on radio. She performs political satire regularly with the comedy troupe, Right to Laugh. She writes, produces and stars in her weekly political commentary internet show Sonja Schmidt’s – Left Exposed on PJTV.com, and she tours nationally playing the role of Michelle Obama in the stage version of Laura Ingraham’s bestseller “The Obama Diaries”.
